Being upset about something as benign as that is cringe all on its own actually. There is nothing cringe at all with naming a gun a Hellcat. I'd much rather say I'm carrying a Springfield H11 or H15 than 'Hellcat,' thats for sure. Much better the 'Hellcat' would have been to use the name given by HS Produkt, which is the 'H11' presumably the 15 shot Hellcat Pro would be named the 'H15': Names like 'Hellcat' and 'Hellion' are definitely in the latter category, and are really the least desirable or professional of names. Less common still is more 'jazzy' names, which if not outright cringe are certainly less preferable then a more anodyne name or model number: There have been exceptions, where a name is given - but this is less common, and names are typically bland: Traditionally firearms have been named either on model numbers or acronyms: Hellcat is definitely contravening most of the naming standards of the last 100 years. Happy hunting in choosing between the two I'm still going to stick with my 43X but would never say no to renting a Hellcat Pro that's been abused as a rental to see if it really can be a reliable EDC and to make sure that it's grip and control surfaces are erghonomic for me to be okay with. The trigger words of Grip Zone has never lived in my head rent free so there is that nonexistent "issue" as well. Being a Springfield Armory gun isn't a concern either. While printing may not be of concern to you, it really and legitimately is a concern to me.īeing made in Croatia doesn't bother me one bit. True, the 365XL has a 15 round option but man does that one stick out and would print in the clothes I wear. 1 longer in width which is negligible but the real deal killer is that the Hellcat Pro has a flush 15 round magazine yet the 365XL comes with a 12 round. Same height, same length, but the 365XL is. Comparing it to the 43X MOS, it may be a hair literally longer but it's shorter in height, shorter in width, has a 15 round capacity that blows my mind considering it's the same size as the 43X that only comes with a 10 round, but it's only negative is that it's slightly over 3 ounces heavier than the 43X.īut between the 365XL and the Hellcat Pro, I'd have to choose the Hellcat Pro. Like all true gun guys do, I took a looksee and dang, I was impressed at what I had seen so far. I first heard of the Hellcat Pro yesterday. G43X EDC carrier chiming in from an observational POV.
